If you fail the exam, you may retake it up to two more times at no additional charge. After three failed attempts, you will need to repurchase the course.

4. How long does it take to complete the Food Handler Certification Course?

The course typically takes 4 to 6 hours to complete. However, you can go at your own pace and have unlimited access to the course for up to 30 days.

5. How long do I have to complete the exam?

Once you begin the exam, you will have 60 minutes to complete it. If you’re logged out or need to return to the exam later, you can log back in and continue where you left off.

7. Is there a certificate upon completion of the course, and when will I receive it?

Most certificates are available immediately after completing the course. However, some may take 1–2 business days for review if proctoring is required.

Our exam is proctored, meaning it is monitored using AI technology. Any suspicious activity will be flagged and reviewed by human evaluators. If violations are detected, the student will be required to retake the course at their own expense.

24. Why do I need to show Photo Identification (ID) to take the exam?

Provincial/territorial authorities require identity verification for each exam. We do not retain any personal information once the exam has started.

25. What is proctoring?

Proctoring ensures the exam is supervised either by a person or through software to prevent cheating. Our exam is proctored by Integrity Advocate.
